Things to Do – Peyia, Coral Bay and Paphos

In Peyia village there are a variety of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes, many have free Wi-Fi, supermarkets, chemist, butchers and a bakery with delicious cakes and pastries. There are banks in the village, all with ATM’s and there is a hairdresser.

At the heart of the village there is a beautiful church located in a small square and gardens where all the locals gather on special holidays, festivals and you may even catch a traditional Cypriot wedding.

The village centre is about a 25 minute stroll away. Please note that access to Peyia village is up hill and people with restricted mobility may find this unsuitable.

The nearest taverna to the apartment is Savvas Grill, just a couple of hundreds yards up the hill, which serves a range of traditional dishes and has Cypriot dancing some evenings.

Continuing up the hill to Peyia village the first bar you come across is The Jail.  This was originally the village jail run by the current owner Stefan’s grandfather.

Coral Bay is only a few minutes drive away with its many restaurants, cocktail bars, nightlife and 2 main beaches where you will find an array of watersports.

Village bus to Coral Bay runs 4 times a day. In Coral Bay you can arrange to go diving and horse riding as well as go-karts.

Close by to Peyia and Coral Bay is the Paphos Bird & Wildlife Park (Zoo).

Paphos has a historic and picturesque harbour with its ancient fort surrounded with restaurants and bars and very close to the mosaics, amphitheatre and lighthouse whilst on the road from Paphos to Coral Bay you can visit the Tomb of the Kings.
The town has two parts with the old town situated around the harbour area whilst a short bus ride away, maybe even a walk away, is the new town with plenty of shops covering local, national and even international names. In Paphos you can hire quad bikes and arrange jeep safaris.
